Terms & Conditions

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using our services. By placing an order with us, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Ordering & Payment

Conditions for a Valid Order

  • You must provide accurate and complete information.
  • Your order is only confirmed once you receive a Dispatch Confirmation email.
  • You must be a UK customer or provide a UK delivery address.

Price & Payment

  • All prices include VAT.
  • Accepted payment methods: Major credit/debit cards and PayPal.
  • A Price Match against UK competitors is available (see Section 3).

2. Shipping & Delivery

Processing

Orders placed before 2pm GMT are processed the same day (excluding weekends and bank holidays).

Delivery Areas & Times

  • Standard (2–4 days): Free on orders over £50 to UK Mainland.
  • Express (1–2 days): £9.99 fee to UK Mainland.
  • Special (3–5 days): Available to Highlands and Islands with additional charges.

Excluded Areas

  • Northern Ireland
  • Channel Islands
  • BFPO addresses

Delivery Conditions

  • A signature is required upon delivery.
  • Tracking is provided for all orders.
  • Failed deliveries are held for 14 days before being returned.

3. Price Match Policy

Conditions for Eligibility

  • The item must be an identical refurbished model (same specifications, condition, and warranty).
  • The competitor must be UK-based with the item in stock and publicly priced.
  • Exclusions: Auction sites (e.g., eBay), marketplace sellers (e.g., Amazon Marketplace), and limited-time flash sales.

Process

  • Email the required details for verification.
  • If approved, the matched price is valid for 24 hours.

4. Returns & Refunds

Conditions for a Standard Return

  • Returns must be made within 30 days of delivery.
  • Items must be unused and returned with original packaging and all accessories.

Non-Returnable Items

  • Software licenses
  • Opened accessories
  • Custom-configured devices

Refund Process

  • The customer is responsible for return shipping costs (tracked service recommended).
  • Refunds are issued in 3–5 business days (credit card) or 5–7 business days (bank transfer).
  • The original delivery charge is not refundable.

5. Trade-In Program – Device Grade Definitions

During trade-in inspection, your device will be assessed and graded based on its physical and functional condition.

Like New

  • Condition: No visible signs of wear or damage.
  • Functionality: 100% functional.
  • Other: Must include the original box and accessories.
  • Battery (refurbished phones): Minimum cycle count of 500.

Good

  • Condition: Minor visible wear (light scratches or scuffs).
  • Functionality: Fully functional but may require minor repairs (e.g., screen protector replacement or small component repair).
  • Other: Original box preferred but not required.
  • Battery (refurbished phones): Minimum cycle count of 500.

Poor

  • Condition: Significant visible wear and/or damage (e.g., deep scratches, dents, cracks in non-critical areas).
  • Functionality: Powers on but has significant functional issues (e.g., faulty buttons, poor speaker quality, camera defects).
  • Other: Original box not required.
  • Battery (refurbished phones): Minimum cycle count of 500.

Faulty / Broken

  • Condition: Severe physical damage (e.g., shattered screen, bent frame, major casing damage).
  • Functionality: Does not power on, has major hardware failure (e.g., no display, water damage), or is activation locked (iCloud or Google FRP).
  • Other: Considered for parts or repair. Original box irrelevant.

6. Trade-In Process & Notes

Process

  • Obtain an online quote (valid for 7 days).
  • Ship your device using the free label provided.
  • Inspection takes place within 1 working day of receipt.
  • The final offer may be adjusted if the assessed grade differs from your initial declaration.
  • Once accepted via email, WhatsApp, or call, payment will be processed and will take 24 hours to reflect in your bank. The decision cannot be amended. You will lose rights to your device once you have accepted the offer.

Important Notes

  • You must remove all personal data (e.g., iCloud or Google Account) before sending your device.
  • If you reject the adjusted final offer, a £10 return fee applies.
  • The free shipping label provides maximum insurance coverage of £150.
  • All devices undergo IMEI validation and checks for liquid damage and activation lock status.

7. Warranties

Coverage Periods

  • Refurbished Devices: 12-month warranty; 3-month battery warranty.
  • New Devices: 12-month warranty for device and battery.
  • Accessories: 6-month warranty.

Conditions for a Valid Warranty Claim

  • Proof of purchase.
  • Device IMEI or serial number.
  • Description of the fault with supporting photos.
  • An RMA number must be issued before returning the device.

Warranty Is Void If

  • Unauthorised repairs are carried out.
  • Physical or liquid damage is identified.
  • Software modifications are detected.

8. Privacy & Data Protection

8.1 Data Retention

Data collected by Cash My Mobile may be retained in the following ways:

  • If you opt in to receive marketing data.
  • To comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
  • To fulfil contractual obligations and resolve disputes.

8.2 Complaints & Regulatory Authority

If you feel that Cash My Mobile is not fulfilling its duties under applicable data protection laws, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office. References to international data transfers comply with current frameworks, including the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where applicable.

9. General Terms

  • Governing Law: England & Wales.
  • Dispute Resolution: A 30-day mediation period is required before any legal action.
